Fire, steel and plenty of color! Wall-hanging painted iron
horses with that extra sculptural dimension of movable legs front
and back on the elegant body. The piece stands away from the
wall nearly an inch, adding depth and shadow to the shape.
Hollis and Beaux collaborate on these pieces ... he cuts the
steel with a torch and polishes the elegant lines to perfection,
then delivers the painted, assembled bodies to the work table
inside the house. Hollis takes over the painting from there,
and these one of a kind pieces are the result. When finished,
they are signed and numbered on the back.
A hook for hanging them is already welded on to the back of
the piece. They hang best from a medium size screw or nail with
a head on it. They are substantial but not real heavy, coming
in between 1 1/2 and 3 lbs apiece.
